Context

Jo-Zeas Gravity Adventure was made for The Case of the Thinky Game Jam. The goal was to create a detective game, unfortunately we ended up moving away from the theme and creating a puzzle game instead.

Even though the theme has gone astray, we are very proud of what we managed to do, and how much we learn in the process, even though we don't have a more complete game as we expected. I hope you like the result.

Description

Help Jo-Zeas solve puzzles and take back control of her ship. Control gravity to advance through the spaceship's rooms and overcome obstacles.

This was fun and provided a few ah-ha moments when I realised how to solve a puzzle. I was just getting into it when it ended!

Oh thank you. I'm glad you liked. I'll be updating the game to a full release as soon as possible :)

Really excellent. My only feedback is it might be more intuitive to have the WASD controls be locked in relative to world space instead of player space. At times it felt like flow was being interrupted just to figure out which way the player was oriented so I could proceed. Could just be a personal preference thing or a built in difficulty thing though so feel free to ignore!

Otherwise, buttery smooth gameplay. Would absolutely play a longer version.

Thank you very much. I'm really happy you liked. The feedback was great, I'll consider this for next updates for sure.

Can second that. Same was going through my head - especially when trying to move "left"/"right" along the vertical axis.

Even though i sucked at the challenges, i really liked. Speacilly the name. Kind of Drummond meets dystopian future kind in space kind of hairy person kicking everything game.

Hahahaha thanks XD

What a beautiful and fun game, I loved the work you did here. Playing with gravity to be able to interact with the scenery and overcome the challenges was super cool. A special highlight for black holes, I loved the aesthetics and their dynamic. The art work and music were also very fantastic, I loved the vibe it added to the game. I surely would love to see an evolution of the game! Congratulations on completing the challenge and presenting such a fun game.
